Following the QLD Premier’s recent announcement, from 10 July 2020, QLD will once again open it’s borders to visitors from other states (except Victoria). http://statements.qld.gov.au/Statement/2020/6/30/restrictions-eased-border-plan-in-place
We hope to be back on the road from 10 July 2020 and will be taking bookings from early in the week starting 06 July 2020.
There will be extra conditions of travel with Brisbane 2 Byron relating to COVID-19 Safety which will need to be agreed to at the time of purchase.
Currently, every passenger traveling from NSW into QLD will require a Queensland Border Declaration Pass. It is a print at home document. You can find it here
In order to be able to board the bus in Byron Bay, you will need to show your completed Queensland Border Declaration Pass to the driver at the time of boarding (in paper or electronic form). When booking from Byron Bay to Brisbane, be aware of potential long delays as queueing at the NSW QLD border will be inevitable.
Initially, we will offer limited, “long-weekend” services i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday but as demand requires we may add or cancel services at our discretion.
We’re excited to get back on the road and to see all our lovely passengers again. We thank you for your support and patience during this time of transition and change. We look forward to offering you a safe and friendly service once again.
The Brisbane 2 Byron Team.
